ADEME’s launch of the call for projects for floating wind turbine pilot farms on 5 August 2015 marks the rise of a new industrial sector to meet energy and climate challenges in the same way the call for projects for pre-commercial farms in Portugal, Scotland and Japan did.

its understanding of the strategic importance of this sector for our region in terms of employment, industrial and ecological issues, the Pôle Mer Méditerranée and the CCI Marseille Provence decided to drive the emergence of this sector in the Mediterranean by organising the Floating Offshore Wind Turbine Event in partnership with France Energie Eolienne for this third edition.

Our goals for this 2016 edition :
- Develop a precise and documented status report on floating offshore wind turbines,
- Develop discussions between European and international experts,
- Promote the emergence of solid co-operation to meet the sector’s problems and challenges.

This conference will deal with key subjects: Digital models, Experimental models, Technical solutions Industrial solutions, Economic models, Experience feedback, Environment, Maritime security.
