FOWT 2018 : once again the world's largest event dedicated to floating offshore wind 


Following FOWT 2017's resounding success with nearly 600 participants from 18 different countries, preparation of FOWT 2018 is actively under way and will take place on the 25th and 26th April.


A true international event

  • Over 50% of foreign attendance expected ; many foreign delegations and companies have already confirmed their presence.
  • World-renowned speakers and experts will be sharing their latest findings and observations on the following topics: bankability, insurability and financing of commercial-scale projects, latest developments in public policies, O&M, HSE, zoning, permitting and local acceptability, technical innovations, industrialization, standards and certification, etc...

New for 2018: the launch of FOWT’S ACADEMIC SESSIONS on April 27th on the campus of Marseilles’ Ecole Centrale

For the first time since the launching of FOWT and in response to the high number of quality scientific abstracts submitted during our call for papers, the Organisation Committee is pleased to announce the adding of a third day following the main event.  Called « FOWT’s Academic Sessions », this additional day will address more academic subjects such as Environmental impact and Resource, Design Methodology and Rules and will take place on April 27th at the Ecole Centrale de Marseille. It is organised in partnership with Ecole Centrale de Marseille. 

Please note that access to FOWT’s Academic Session is included in your FOWT registration package but only the first 200 registrants to this additional day will be able to attend on a first come, first serve basis (your request to participate must be specified on your FOWT registration form).

A privileged meeting place for business 

  • Between 800 and 1000 attendees expected

The objective of FOWT is to further the advancement of floating wind and to accelerate its implementation into the global renewable energy mix.This event is meant to promote constructive discussions between all actors and stakeholders of this emerging industry. Hence the affordable registration fee and the "no pay to speak policy" implemented by the organization committee. 





FOWT 2018 will be held Under the High Patronage of Nicolas HULOT, Ministre d’Etat, Minister for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition.
